Overview

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) continues its comprehensive review of the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) with the fourth and final round of public consultation. 

Transform the future of the classification   
We are particularly interested in understanding the positive and negative impacts of the proposed structural changes in the draft classification and how they might impact your business or industry.

For the draft version of the classification1 we are seeking feedback on:

  • how you intend to use the classification and data consumption tools
  • the proposed changes, draft structure and the implementation of the classification

Following survey completion, a feedback receipt will be sent to your nominated email account. Provision of any additional attachments to support your feedback can be emailed with the feedback receipt number to updating.anzsco@abs.gov.au. Please note there is a 5MB file limit.

What happens next

This round of consultation has now closed. Thank you to those that have provided feedback. You will not receive individual feedback on the content you have provided. However, following the conclusion of this final consultation round, participants will be provided a summary of how stakeholder input has influenced changes to the classification.

A consultation summary and list of preliminary proposed changes from the first, second and third rounds of consultation have been released on the ABS Consultation Hub for information.
