Why your views matter

Your input helps shape ABS services and products, making them easier to use.

By joining our panel, you may be invited to take part in a range of activities. Your feedback helps us understand what works well and what we can improve. 

What might I be asked to do?

We may contact you about opportunities to:

• provide feedback on our website, surveys, materials or services
• try new features or designs
• take part in interviews or discussions
• complete short activities about your experience using our services.

Most activities take place online (e.g. video calls or tasks on a computer or phone), and usually last between 30 to 45 minutes. 

Each invitation will include details about what is involved, how long it will take, and how we will use you feedback.

Do I have to participate?

No. Registering your interest does not commit you to anything.

If we contact you, you can decide whether to take part. Participation is voluntary.

Who can take part

You must be:

• 18 years or older
• live in Australia.

We're looking for a range of perspectives, so no special skills or knowledge are needed.

How will my information be used?

We collect and store the information you provide so we can: 

• contact you about suitable opportunities 
• organise activities you choose to take part in 
• understand the range of people interested in giving feedback.

Can I withdraw my interest? 

Yes. You can ask to be removed from our contact list at any time by emailing research@abs.gov.au
