Please continue to include the 'LGA' dataset in Census data collection, as this is critical for local government data collection.

Please endeavour to ensure (as far as practicable) that ABS Census data is NOT used by Australian Government agencies to determine funding program eligibility (e.g. Building Better Regions Fund, Regional Growth Fund). The use of ABS Census data by government agencies to determine the 'regional' status of local governments has created major challenges for regional local governments in Western Australia.
