Topic name
The inclusion of a question within the Census that identifies the number of residences owned.
Oberon's LGA does not get appropriately represented by itinerate landowners that own (and reside) in more than one dwelling however are not presiding in their second residence on Census night.

1. This topic is of current national importance.

National Importance
Currently in NSW substantial funding and operational initiatives relate to population. Oberon sits approximately 2 hours from Sydney and has an itinerate population. That being landowners who own or reside in more than one dwelling. The issue is that these residents only get calculated against the time and place they reside on Census night and are therefore lost in population statistics.
Currently approximately 25% of rates notices form Oberon are delivered to postcodes outside the local region.

The data requested is critical for smaller population areas when statistics outline population drop.
