Topic name
Powered two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles and Scooters)must be included as a mode of transport. They are increasingly used in our cities, making a significant contribution to reducing congestion, lessening pollution and freeing up of parking spaces. As registered vehicles with owners who pay to use our roads, we should be recognised and counted, so that we can be factored into future infrastructure projects.

Motorcycles and scooters (two-wheeled powered vehicles) should be included as a mode of transport. Potentially more people have and use a motorcycle or scooter than a bicycle in the state capitals, making a significant contribution to reducing congestion, freeing up parking, and lowering pollution.

An accurate understaning and factual data regarding the numbers of Scooter and Motorcycles on the road as a mode of transport, will help legislators, policy makers and infrastructure planners prepare appropriate policy development for transport.
